Recent Releases: Kid Amelia, Keep This Up and Pavé
Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we’re back and we’re going to be talking about some new music! I’m hoping to be back with regular posts soon. Just trying to get my enthusiasm back. So, what better way than to be back with a new blog post!
First up, let’s talk about Keep This Up. Since we last spoke about Keep This Up, they’ve dropped 2 new tracks, so we’re going to be talking about both of them! Keep This Up has had some changes, including lineup and sound since we first started talking about them. So, I’m super hyped to be talking about this new era.
Up first, we have Bury Me, and I knew from the get-go I would love this track. The actual sound of this track is great, and the vocals are decent. There are a fair bit of rough vocals on this track. I love the actual instrumental elements of this track more than the track as a whole, I think. However, I do really like the track. The track ends on just pure rough vocals, but I’m here for it, and I really enjoy this track. It’s a great track and one that I can see a lot of people enjoying. It’s definitely a track that will grow on me, but as it stands, it’s not my favourite release to date, but it’s not a bad track. I still really enjoy this track, and I know so many people are going to love this track. I do prefer this sound and vibe to the previous sound. I do really like this track, and I like the mix of rough and clean vocals, and the actual instrumental aspects of this track are everything! Well, and truly love those aspects, but for me, there’s just something missing from the track to win me over. Overall, I’d probably give it a 4 out of 5 lemons! It’s a good track, and I enjoy it, but I just enjoy other tracks more.
Secondly, let’s talk about the latest release, which comes in the form of Find Myself. Now, this track, I much prefer, I love the sound more than Bury Me, I think the sound and the vocals work better together on this track, and I love the chorus. This is what I wanted Bury Me to do to me, but Find Myself does win me over. There’s just that little extra something that wins me over with this track, and I love it. It’s a great track, and I really do rate this one. Find Myself feels a little less heavy and a little more emo, but it’s got quite a catchy and infectious chorus which really wins me over. That’s the bit that really wins me over, and I do just love this track. There’s something about this track that just wins me over, and I think it just offers a great listening experience and one that will grow on me the more I listen to it, but I still love it upon first impressions. I’m confident in giving Find Myself a 5 out of 5 lemons. This is another track I know many will enjoy, and I truly cannot recommend this track enough.

Now, we love onto our wonderful friends in Pavé, who are absolutely killing it currently! They’ve grown massively recently, and I’m so happy to see them having so many listening currently. They’re such an incredible band that we’ve supported for a good few years now, and it’s great to see them getting the recognition they deserve. They’re such a surreal band and one I truly do love. We’re a couple of releases behind with this lot too, so we’re going to be talking about both Animal and Till I Die.
Up first is Animal. Animal was released in January and has a darker, heavier vibe to it. It’s such an incredible track and one I’ve loved from the get-go. Alanya’s vocals are insane on this track, and I’m 100% here for this track. It’s incredible; this track is everything you could hope it would be and more. The lyrics on this track are a stand-out feature, and I just love the entire vibe of this track. If you haven’t heard this track, then you’re really missing out! It’s such an incredible track, and this is the sort of track that gets me excited about music again. This sort of track makes me fall back in love with alt music. I just love this track, and it’s insane. The balance between vocals and instrumental is perfect, and the whole vibe of this track is next level. Such an incredible track with such an incredibly beautiful, refined sound. Pavé just keeps getting better and better, and they’re just killing it currently! Absolutely love this track and this band. This is the track that I need in my life, and makes me fall back in love with music. It’s incredible; honestly, if you haven’t heard this track yet, you’re well and truly missing out. There are some subtle tempo changes, and that is something that will forever win me over. I’m more than happy to give Animal a solid 5 out of 5 lemons, and this might have to be one of my favourite Pavé tracks to date.
Up next is Till I Die, which this track has already racked up over 20,000 streams on Spotify alone! When you listen to this track, it’s easy to see why people are loving this track. This is one of Pavé’s darkest-sounding tracks, and it just has a big fuck you attitude to it. It’s such a great track, and it’s just got such a great vibe. I can see why people are eating this track up, and I’d put this track in my top 3 tracks from Pavé. The chorus goes hard, and it’s just got such a great vibe to it. I’m really digging this track, and I think it’s incredible. I think Pavé killed it with this track and that tempo change! I adore tempo changes, and this track has a nice one, and I’m here for it. This track has exceeded all expectations I had for it, and again, it’s the sort of track that makes me fall back in love with music. There’s just something special about this track, it really does pack a punch, and it’s just incredible. Such a phenomenal track with such a surreal vibe. I absolutely adore this track, and I cannot recommend checking this track out if you haven’t already. It’s incredible, mind-blowing and just absolutely insane. I’m glad to see this track is getting some love; it deserves a lot more, and Pavé, in general, deserves a lot more love, but I’m more than happy to give this track another solid 5 out of 5 lemons. Pavé never disappoints, and this is just proof of that. Absolutely adore this track, and I’d highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already. It’s incredible.

Finally, let’s show some love to my local scene. Kid Amelia is back. However, Kid Amelia is no longer a band and is now a solo project. However, that doesn’t mean there’s anything to worry about because Kid Amelia is very much still Kid Amelia. I.F.G.I.T.Y. is the new track from Kid Amelia, and I truly think I prefer this track more than some of the music from when Kid Amelia was a full-blown band. This track has such a great vibe, and I’m such a big fan of it. This is another track with a big fuck you vibe to it, and it’s those sort of tracks that I really love. This track, I know, will find its way into heavy rotation, and I love it. It’s one of those tracks that almost doesn’t feel long enough because it’s such an incredible, engaging track that time just seems to fly by when you’re listening to it. I love this track, and if you haven’t heard it already, I’d strongly recommend you give it a spin. It has a bit of a dark, grungey feel, and I’m a big fan of it. I love the vocals on this track, and I’m just in love with this track. This is the comeback single we all needed, it’s exceeded all expectations I had for it, and I’m just such a big fan of this track; I absolutely love it, and I’m super stoked to hear what comes next! This track is honestly insane, absolutely love this track, and I cannot recommend it enough! I absolutely adore this track, and this is just proof that Kid Amelia is one to keep an eye on. Absolutely adore this track; the lyrics to this track are great and one of the stand-out features, and I just generally really enjoy this track. It’s incredible. Please go give this track a spin if you haven’t already, because I’m in love with this track. And that’s why I’m more than happy to give I.F.G.I.T.Y. a solid 5 out of 5 lemons.
