Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today I’m back with another Recent Releases post to help clear the backlog, and oh boy have I got a lot of releases to talk to you about today! We’re talking about Vampire Slumber Party, Neptune Rain, and Future Radio! So, let’s get into this as we’ve got a lot to get through!

First up, let’s talk about the ever so wonderful Vampire Slumber Party. Now, ever since Yusuf first sent me an email with a track I’ve been hyped about the release of Funeral Pop. We’ve heard a decent amount of singles from it now, and every single time they’ve gotten better and better. Well, if the singles weren’t enough to quench your thirst for new music, then maybe the 10 track, belter packed, debut album will be enough to hit the spot for you. This album leaves your needs for new music fulfilled. From the singles that we’ve come to know and love such as Glycerin, Northern Lights and my personal favourite, Now, Repeat After Me. I absolutely adore this album. To the next such as, Get Well Soon and This Message Was Deleted. I cannot fault one second of this album. It is such an incredible album. So many impressive tracks on the album, and it helps prove that Vampire Slumber Party are one of the best up and coming artists, and one that deserves so much more love and support. This album is just insane! It's a masterpiece, and it's got an incredibly strong opening track, giving it a great first impression, and then concluding with another insane track, cementing in the fact this is an impressive album, that really holds the listener's attention. I'm obsessed with this album, and I truly believe this is a faultless album. I'd have to give Funeral Pop a solid 5 out of 5 lemons! I’m obsessed with this album and I cannot recommend it enough! There are no bad tracks, and it's just belter after belter. It's truly an impressive album, and one I would highly recommend giving a listen to.

Next up, we're talking about Future Radio again. Future Radio dropped a new track a few weeks back called Towards The Sun. I reviewed one of their previous singles and felt a bit lacklustre with it, but this track is better than the previous track. There's still that classic Future Radio track, but there are some really nice musical elements to the track. The intro is one of those gradual intros. however, as much as I can say I liked that the intro had a build-up within it, I despise the length of it. A quarter of the length of this track is made up of intro. I hate long intros with a passion. They are the bain of my existence, and I felt a bit frustrated listening to the intro just because it's so long. When the vocals kick in and the song gets going, it's alright. I like it, I'm not in love with it, but it's alright. It's not bad. But, I just can't get past that intro. It's so long, and if a track is going to have a long intro, it needs to pack a punch, and it needs to be a song that really impresses me for me to tolerate the long intro. This track is better than the previous track I reviewed, and it has more rock elements within it, but it's still not spectacular. Overall, I'd probably give it a 4 out of 5. If the intro was shorter, or the song impressed me a bit more, then I'd give it a higher rating, but it's just not hitting the spot for me. It's alright, just not spectacular.

Moving on, the last release we're going to talk about is Bitter Pill by Neptune Rain. I was sent this track in PR a while ago, but I've had so much going on, that today is just when I could get it in. Now, I didn't know what to expect from Neptune Rain, but Bitter Pill is a belter and a half! I'm obsessed with the sound of this track. This is an absolute belter. This is such an impressive track, and it's got such incredible elements within in. The rough vocals mixed with the clean vocals, and the subtle little tempo changes. I'm 100% here for this track. I love it! I'm obsessed with Bitter Pill. This is the sort of track that I absolutely adore. It's super interesting and engaging to listen to. I'm well and truly obsessed with this track, and I can't wait to hear what comes next for Neptune Rain. They also have some shows coming up, but check their socials for the details of those! Anyway, I'd have to give Bitter Pill a solid 5 out of 5 lemons. This is a heavier track, but it hits the spot. If you like your heavier alt-rock bands, then go check them out! This is one of those tracks I can listen to on repeat for hours and not be bored of it. It's so engaging and just phenomenal!
