California’s finest just got a whole lot finer with their latest single Distant Noise.
Distant Noise is the latest offering from LA pop-punk quintet, Protect Your Heart.
This might actually be my favourite release from this new era so far. Each era has been incredible, and the LP’s have been incredible, and dethroned many other bands, however, Distant Noise is on the same level of Last To Love You, and Gone Forever. Maybe not quite the supreme ranking of Embers and Close To You, but damn near close.
Lyrically this song is great, and the actual composition of the song is also great. I’m a big fan of the vibe of this song. There’s still that little easy core breakdown in the track, that we all somewhat expect from Protect Your Heart, but there’s also that lighter, more pop-punk sound to the track as well. The track feels perfect for summer, which anybody who’s a fan of pop-punk will know that there’s nothing better than a summer pop-punk track.
Protect Your Heart continues to deliver banger after banger. Track after track, proving they are without a doubt one of the best bands out there, and a band that a lot more people should be paying attention to. With their monthly listeners steadily rising, it’s not hard to tell why. When the five piece release track after track that makes you want to scream at the top of your lungs, and get whiplash from their breakdowns. They truly are a band with far more talent than many other bands who have a larger fan base.
Protect Your Heart are one of my favourite bands ever, and if you give them half an hour of your time to have a listen to some of their discography you’ll understand why. Hell, even just 10 minutes and you’ll understand why they have the potential to be one of the biggest names in modern pop-punk, if only more people will give them the time of day to understand just how talented this Californian quintet is.
Take the 3 and a half minutes to listen to this track, and you’ll too understand why the lyrics resonate with the listener so much. Why, like every other Protect Your Heart track I feel as if this track deserves nothing less than a 5 out of 5 lemons. Give the track a spin. Maybe with the windows down in your car. Embrace the vibe. Make it an immersive listening experience and you too will be understanding why this track is as incredible as it is.
