Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Now if you missed the memo, I had a shoulder dislocation last week and was pretty much MIA and therefore, there’s a bit of a backlog so now I’ve got a Recent Releases post for you! Today I’m going to talk about Nautical Mile and Last Letters.

First up, I want to talk about Last Letters and their track, How's Your Low? Charles messaged me a few weeks back and asked if I'd do a post on the track, so here it is. I'm not overly obsessed with the track. It's alright, it's just a bit calm and summery. Which, I mean I was told from the get-go, so I can't fault Charles. It's got some lovely vocals on it, and the actual track is really nice to listen to.  I just don't 100% vibe with the track. It reminds me of another track, but I can't remember what it is, but it's another track I've featured on here before by a small artist. I'm not mad at the track, but it's something that I would have to be in the mood to listen to. I'd probably listen to it a lot though as long as I was in the right mood. I do think it's decent, I'm just not obsessed with it, as I prefer tracks with a bit more of a punch, but this is a good track nonetheless. I love the vibe of this track, and I can appreciate the incredible talent showcased in the track. I really liked the bridge though, but yeah, it's a good track. Just a bit mood dependant for me. I like it enough though, it's alright. I'd give How's Your Low? a 4 out of 5 lemons. It's alright. I'm a decent enough fan of the track.

Where To Find Last Letters:

Now, let's talk about the ever so wonderful Nautical Mile. I think every man and his dog knows just how much I love Nautical Mile. They're the one band that never seem to let me down. Well, on Friday Nautical Mile released their EP, Embers. Embers is a five-track EP featuring the single, Purgatory, which I did a review of last year when it dropped. The first track on the EP is Dying Light. This is a song that grips my attention from the get-go. The vocals are just insane, and this track has such a lovely feel to it. It's loud, it's anthemic. This is the energy I want from a track, and especially the energy desired from an opening track. This is a solid track and one that truly does grip my attention. Those slight tempo changes are also phenomenal. I'm in love with this track. This, to me, is the perfect track. It has that pizazz that I want tracks to have. I love this track! Up next comes Purgatory, and as I said, I've done a full review of this track. I loved it. I thought it was incredible, and it was very much a Nautical Mile track. I've come to adore this track, and it's just as good as the first time I heard it. This is a track that will always pack a punch, and engage the masses. The midway point of the album is, Where Do We Go. Now, this track, from the intro had my attention. This sounds similar to the first track, and honestly, I love just how insane this track is. I knew from the first few seconds that this track was going to be one of my favourites. I'm well and truly in love with this track. Every single second of it, is just incredible. It's just a phenomenal track. You 100% need to check this track out. I'm in love with it, and I can't even explain the euphoric feeling this track gives me. This is a stand out track for me. The penultimate track is, Suppresion. This is another belter of a track, but when we've just heard Where Do We Go, I'm left feeling a bit lost with this track. I love this track, and the chorus goes hard. It just doesn't hit the same way that the previous track did, but this is in my top 3 of the tracks off the EP. I really dig this track. I think it's incredible, and those vocals! I swear, Nautical Mile never disappoint. The concluding track of the EP is the title track, Embers. This is another incredible track, the drums on this track are next level! I'm blown away by this track, this one hits like Where Do We Go for me, and I'd say this is my second favourite track off the EP. I'm in love with this track. It's so good, and it's so catchy and anthemic. I absolutely adore this track, and I think it's solid! This is a belter! 100% in love with this track! A solid track, and it's a solid closing track as well. From start to finish, I loved this EP. I knew I would though. Nautical Mile never disappoints. I'm obsessed with this EP, and I cannot recommend going and checking it out enough. Nautical Mile are a band to watch out for, and I'm so impressed with this EP. It's just as good as The Only Way Is Through. I love every second of this EP, and I cannot recommend checking it out enough! This is, without a doubt, a solid 5 out of 5 lemon EP! Go and check it out! Where To Find Nautical Mile; SpotifyInstagramTwitter FacebookYouTubeTheir Website Apple MusicWhere To Find Me: Here on LifeIsALemon more days than not, at 7pm (UK Time) TwitterInstagramFacebookMy Novel Small Band Appreciation Playlist (Spotify)For all blog related enquires contact me at myvoicebrandnew@hotmail.com
