Welcome/welcome back to the blog! We’ve got a lot to get through today, so let’s keep this intro short and sweet; today is a recent releases post, with loads of new releases to talk about.

First up, let’s talk about When Nothing Works. Not going to go into too much detail about the whole WNW disappearance because it’s not my business, but the band is back with a new lineup, with a few original members. Ben sent me over the tracks a few weeks back, and I was super stoked because When Nothing Works have so much potential! So, they dropped a debut EP. I Hope This Is Not The End is a 4 track EP with a listening time of just under 12 minutes. Pretty short and sweet, but every track packs that punch that we’ve heard from When Nothing Works before. I love every single track on this EP. It’s just such a surreal EP, it packs a punch, and every track is just surreal! This is a phenomenal EP. I think my favourite track is Drag, and then it would probably be Breakthrough. There’s just something about the change and vocals on the tracks that impress me so much! I absolutely love this EP, and it’s just surreal! This is such a solid EP, with some really intense, phenomenal tracks. So, if you like your metalcore, if you like your heavier tracks, then you need to check out this EP! It’s a solid 5 out of 5 lemons EP! I fucking love it! Cannot recommend this EP enough! It’s surreal!

Next up, we’re talking about The Blams. I spoke about these guys a few weeks ago, but I’m back talking about them again! On Friday they dropped a new track Don’t Miss Twice, I really like this track. It’s possibly my favourite track from The Blams so far. It’s got a groovy feel to it, it’s got notable tempo changes. It’s got a grungy feel to it, but it works so well. This is an incredible track and one I’m super impressed with! I absolutely adore the feel of this track, it’s bass-heavy, but it’s so refreshing to hear because it’s not the sort of track I expected or anticipated it would be. I love this track, I just think this is such an unexpected track from The Blams but I’m 100% here for it. I love everything about it. This is another 5 out of 5 lemons track from The Blams. It’s catchy, it’s got a cool vibe to it, it’s groovy, it’s just such a phenomenal track and one that’ll impress the masses.

Now let’s talk about a new artist to the blog, this coming in the form of XO Armor. These lot reached out to me a couple of weeks back and asked if I’d be up for reviewing their track, and sent me the track over to have a little listen to. So, let’s have a little talk about Rex, the new single from XO Armor. This track has a sort of Bring Me The Horizon feel to it. It’s heavy, it’s got a great mix of rough and clean vocals. It’s got a bit of an electric feel to it, and it’s just a generally great track. I didn’t expect to love this track as much as I do, but I think it’s solid. It’s a belter. It packs a punch, and it just does everything I could hope it would do and more. I love this track, and I can see this working its way into regular rotation. The vocals on this track are next level, I absolutely love this track. It’s an absolute belter, and I’m so impressed with XO Armor. If you haven’t heard these guys before then you NEED to check them out. If this track is anything to go off, they’re a band that may not be for the faint-hearted but they’re one that are so worthy of big things. They deserve to go down in history because they’re insane! This is another 5 out of 5 lemons! This is just insane!

Now, the last track we’re going to talk about is the new A Few Too Many track titled, Out for the Count. Now this to me is the song that every pop-punk band seems to have. It’s that classic December by Neck Deep sort of track. Slow, acoustic, a soft, easy listening track, and then comes the big tempo change! Part of me expected it to just be a classic soft track for the entirety, however, I could almost sense the tempo change coming. I was pleasantly surprised by the tempo change, and it did reassure me that this was a track that was worthy of my attention, and time. Over the past couple of days, I’ve come to love this track A LOT. It’s a great track, and although I would say that it is very much a song that every pop-punk seems to have, I will never complain about another one. I love this track! I think it’s wonderful! It’s such a lovely track, and I love the lyrics, I think it’s a beautiful track and I cannot recommend it enough! It’s another solid 5 out of 5 lemons track! Where To Find A Few Too Many; SpotifyTwitterInstagramFacebookYouTube Apple Music
