Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today I’m talking about the Those Without debut album, Bittersweet. I have been obsessed with this album since it dropped, and when I say I’ve been obsessed with it, I mean it’s been on repeat since Friday.

Bittersweet is a 10 track album, and it just packs such a good punch! This is a catchy, anthemic, energetic album that leaves very little to the imagination, because whatever you could have expected from Those Without, they've done on this album!

The album opens with the phenomenal track, Happy Ever After. From the get go, this track had my attention. Honestly if you could overdose on a track I’d be overdosing on this track for pure recreational purposes. The line “Happy ever after was made for disaster” is just so iconic and should go down in history as one of the most beautifully sung lines of all time. I’m well and truly in love with this track, this is honestly such an incredible track and one you NEED to hear.

Next up comes the timeless single, Pink Alligator. I’ve done a full review of this single, I love this single. I loved it when it dropped, and I love it now. This was the single that really made me fall in love with Those Without and made me realise just how fantastic this band was. It’s catchy, it’s anthemic. I love it. It’s timeless and it’s just an absolute bop.

Following on from that we have Voodoo Doll, this is another track that gives me a euphoric feeling. It packs a punch, and it just hits the spot. It does what you want it to do and more. It’s surreal. This is such a belter of a track, it packs a punch, and it’s just so catchy. It’s got such a surreal feel to it. I love this track, and this is one of my favourites off the album. I just love everything about this track, from the lyrics to the drums, and everything in between. It’s just insane. This is such an incredible track and one you 100% need to check out!

Track four is, Weightless. Which again, I did a full review of and was a single. I loved this track, and I still love it now. It’s such an incredible track that packs such a punch. It’s just a classic and it’ll impress the masses.

Track five comes in the form of Good Thyme, and is another single from the album. This was the first single from the album actually, and it’s another solid track. It’s catchy, it’s intense, it offers a lovely listening experience and is just generally a great track.

Now we move onto, Oblivious. I fell in love with this track the second I heard it, there’s just something about the make up of this track that grips my attention. I absolutely adore this track. The lyrics in the chorus won me over, as soon as I heard that chorus I knew this was in my top 3 tracks from this album. This is just such a surreal track, and it’s one of the tracks I’ve gotten the most listens out of. It’s that line “If we’re being honest do you feel like we were meant to be?”  Honestly, such a stellar track and one that is guaranteed to impress the masses.

Moving onto the seventh track, Cleopatra. This is a beautiful track, it’s got a soft, calming feel to it. However, it's still a good song. It's still engaging to listen to, and it truly does pack a punch, it's got a lovely feel to it, but it still has some nice little tempo changes in the track to hold your attention. I love this track, and the vocals on this track are exceptional! I love it, it's phenomenal! It's truly wonderful. I'm in love with it. It's just insanely beautiful. I love it. Under The Weather comes on next, and it offers a completely different feel to it compared to the previous track. It's got a grungier feeling to it, and I just love the lovely feel to it. It's got a bit of a Bring Me The Horizon vibe with the tempo change. I just love this track, and this is another phenomenal track. I often find that albums lose their kick the closer to the end they get, but this track proves differently. This has a nice little touch of rough vocals, and I just love it. I think it's surreal, and I'm obsessed with it! The penultimate track is A Name For Myself, which follows on pretty seamlessly from Under The Weather, it's got a calmer vibe to it, but nowhere near as chilled out as Cleopatra. This is a phenomenal track, and it's got some nice little tempo changes in the track. It's just a punchy track, and it's phenomenal. I love everything about it, and it really hits the spot. The closing track comes in the form of the single, Webspinner. I loved this track, and I love it even more now. This feels like the perfect track to end the album on, and it's just exceptional. I did a full review of it, and I don't feel like I gave it enough praise. This is a track for the history books, because those vocals, and the guitar, and drums, and everything about this track. "I'd say I'm broken but I won't let you take the credit for it." is one of the most incredible, and highly relatable lines I've heard. This is just such a surreal track. In conclusion, I love everything about this album. It's insane, Those Without killed it with this album, and I 100% think this may be just as good, if not even better than New Low by We Were Sharks, which says a lot. This is honestly the strongest contender for album of the year. I'm obsessed with this album, and I know I'm going to have it on repeat for weeks! I fucking love every single second of this album, even the tracks like Cleopatra packed a punch whilst not being overly intense. I just love this album, and it's exceeded all expectations I had for it. I want to give this a 5 out of 5 lemons, but it's a solid 6 out of 5 lemons. That's how good it is. It's just phenomenal. It's a masterpiece, and you NEED to go and spend the 31 minutes and 28 seconds listening to this album, you won't regret it! Where To Find Those Without; SpotifyInstagramTwitterFacebookYouTubeApple Music Where To Find Me: Here on LifeIsALemon more days than not, at 7pm (UK Time) TwitterInstagramFacebookMy Novel Small Band Appreciation Playlist (Spotify)For all blog related enquires contact me at myvoicebrandnew@hotmail.com
