Recent Releases: The Blams and Pavé

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we’re doing a recent releases post, we’re going to be talking about The Blams and Pavé. There will be a part 2 to this recent releases post in a few days, so stay tuned for that!

First up, let’s kick off this post by talking about our friends in The Blams. I love this band, we all know this band packs a punch and never disappoints so I was super stoked to hear they were dropping a new track! This track is titled Blame Game, and the intro isn’t as impactful as some of the other tracks we’ve heard from them, but the whole vibe of the track is on point. The tempo changes are nice, and there’s a nice build up within the track that makes me enjoy the intro more. I had pretty high standards for this track, and I think it’s safe to say that The Blams have met the expectations I had for this track. This track is great, okay, maybe it’s not as catchy or anthemic as the likes of Therefore I Am, but boy, this is still a solid track and one that I really love! I will admit this is not my favourite track from The Blams, but I still really like it. It offers a bit of a different listening experience to the previous tracks, but it’s still a solid track. I actually really enjoy this track a lot, and I’m a big fan of it. It packs a punch, and I like that it has that build up, but then it also comes back down. I really like that, and I think that’s one of my favourite thing about this track. It’s great. It’s truly a wonderful track, and if you’re a fan of The Blams, or your alt/indie rock then this is a track for you! It’s very true to the genre, but it’s a decent track. For me, it probably would be a more mood dependant track, and it doesn’t have that wow factor that the likes of Therefore I Am, had but it’s still a good track, and I’d work it into regular rotation. It’s definitely a decent track, and I’m really impressed with it. I do wish, there was maybe a little extra something to it, but the elements of it are great. It’s got a not so overly refined feel to it, and I’m here for it. I just wish there was a little extra spice to the track. Whilst the tempo changes win me over, I do still wish there was more to the track. It’s good, and I wouldn’t complain if it came on shuffle, but for me personally, it’s a 4 out of 5 lemons. There’s definitely elements of this track that I love, but I wish there was more of those elements, like the slightly tougher vocals, more dramatic tempo changes, and those sorts of things. Whilst I will still recommend the track, I would still say Therefore I Am, is my favourite track, and that’s the standard that The Blams have set for themselves. But if you do like indie/alt rock, then go give this track a spin and show The Blams some love!

Next up, we’re going to take about Pavé! We love this lot, and I think they’re wonderful. They never disappoint and they always hit the spot. There isn’t one track this band has put out that I dislike, and I truly just grow to love them more and more with every track they release. The new track is titled Wait There, and it’s such a belter. Alanya’s vocals win me over every time, and this track is no exception to that. I absolutely adore this track, the whole sound and feel of this track is extraordinary! They know what they’re doing, and they do it so well. I actually cannot comprehend just how insane this track is. It has a listening time of just over 3 and a half minutes. The lyrics to this track, are next level. And the way, the track carries those lyrics just gives the whole track a big, fuck you, sort of feel to it. It’s an anthem. I am so impressed with every single second of this track, and I didn’t expect it to be anywhere near as good as it is. I knew it would be good, but I didn’t imagine it being this good! I truly think this may be my favourite release they’ve put out, and it’s easy to see why. Maybe the track doesn’t have big, dramatic tempo changes, but there’s a few subtle ones. I love that there’s no overly long intro, I love the guitar, the drums, and everything else. This track hits the spot for me, and I cannot fault one element of this track. This truly, may be my favourite release that Pavé have put out! Such an incredible band, and such an incredible track! Overall, I’m happy to give Wait There a solid 5 out of 5 lemons! this is my favourite track from Pavé and I’m so blown away by how insane this track is. You 100% need to hear it if you haven’t already! It’s insane! Such an incredible track that really does pack a punch! I would recommend this track to anybody willing to give it a listen.
