Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today is a massive blog post; we're talking new singles from 4 artists and a new album. We have a lot to get through, and I want to keep this as short and sweet as possible because there's the opportunity to waffle... a lot! Anyway, let's get into this!
Light Grey dropped a new track from their upcoming EP titled PRBLM. This might be my favourite track released from the EP so far. I absolutely love the vibes of this track; it reminds me of another track that I can't pinpoint currently, but it's insane. It packs such a punch; it's got that tempo change within the track that I always expect from Light Grey. It's got that incredible chorus, and it just generally packs a punch. It's got a cool feel to it, and I love every second of this track. It's a surreal track, and I think it's one that needs to be hyped up more. It's just such a surreal track, and I'm obsessed with it! This is one of the tracks that instantly makes it onto my car playlist because it's insane. It's incredible, and it packs that punch we expect from Light Grey. I adore this track, and I think so many more people will too. It's got impeccable vibes about it, and I'm generally really impressed with this track. I'd 100% recommend checking out this track. It's a solid 5 out of 5 lemons track! You need to hear this track!
Where To Find Light Grey;
Now, let's talk about another artist that never lets me down, that I feature every time I can on here, and that I generally just admit a lot. That's Lewis Kelly. Now, it feels like forever since we spoke about Lewis Kelly, but it hasn't been too long. Today we're talking about the sad stoned kid at the skatepark. That's Lewis' latest track, and it's got the same vibe and feel as the likes of Unemployed and Employed. It's got that lo-fi beat to it, and it's just generally a really enjoyable track to listen to. Lewis never lets me down with his releases. I think Lewis is an insanely talented musician and one that I'm glad to see is gaining some popularity, but I still wish for him to get some more exposure. This track follows a very similar structure to his previous releases, and it's just an easy listening, inoffensive, relatable track that packs a punch. It's got a sad feel to it, but it's still beautiful, and Lewis carries this track incredible well. If you haven't heard this track already, then please go and change that, because this is a great track and one that really does deserve some more love and support, although in just over a week it's already amassed nearly 20k streams on Spotify. I absolutely adore this track, and I cannot recommend it enough. This is another 5 out 5 lemons track.
Where To Find Lewis Kelly;
Moving on, let's talk about the ever so wonderful, downcast. No, hell is not catharsis, but it's just as good. It's got those raw vocals from Liam, and it's got a surreal feel to it. I love the lyrics to this track, and I just generally enjoy this track a lot. I think this is a surreal track and one that so many people will love and appreciate. I'm actually shocked that there's not been a lot of hype regarding this track since it was released. It's insane. I love it. I love every single second of this track, and I think it's an incredible track, and it's got such a powerful, emotional and enjoyable feel to it. Although the context of the song isn't the happiest, this is still a really enjoyable track and one that definitely deserves your love and support! This is a powerful track and one that you need to play on full blast to appreciate the beauty of. downcast never disappoint, and this track is another perfect example of that. I absolutely love this track, and I think it's got such a great feel to it, and the outro to the track is superb. It's a standout moment of the track, and I love every second of this track. It's insane. This is yet another track that I cannot hype up enough, and that is another solid 5 out of 5 lemons track! Where To Find Downcast: SpotifyInstagramTwitterFacebookYouTubeApple Music
Now, moving onto the last single we're going to talk about, we're talking about Elliot Mitchell's track Lucky Ones. This offers a different listening experience to the previous tracks I've mentioned. It's got a less refined feel to it, but it's still catchy, and it's quite fast-paced which I really appreciate. The chorus is the winning element of this track though, I like the tempo change between verse and chorus, and although I do find the track to not be as engaging as his previous track, I still really enjoy this track, and I think it's got a nice feel to it. It's cool, it's not a bad track, yes, it doesn't win me over like Afternoon Superheroes did, but I'd still rate this song highly. It's still a decent track and one that I'm really impressed with. It's got a good set of lyrics to it, and I do appreciate the beauty of this track. I'd highly recommend giving it a listen, and when it comes to rating, I'd go with a 4 out of 5 lemons. It's not a bad track by any means, it just didn't win me over like the previous single from Elliot did. But it's a good track!
Where To Find Elliot Mitchell:
The last release we're going to be talking about is Have No Fear the latest album from Murder On The Airwaves. This album has a dark feel to it, the intro track has quite an eerie feeling, and it's the perfect feel of an album for this time of the year. The tracks themselves are dark, not overly heavy, no heavier than some of the classic rock bands, but it offers a dark feeling listening experience. I'm actually quite a fan of this album, and I think it's great when a track can make you feel a certain way. The album consists of 10 tracks and a listening time of just over 34 minutes. It's a decent album actually, and it exceeded all expectations I had for the album when I was sent it in PR a while back. A lot of the tracks offer the same sort of feel to me, and I'd say if you're a fan of 80's rock bands, or even Dirty Rose, then Murder On The Airwaves could be the band for you. They're decent and generally enjoyable. I really like this album, and I think it's great. A personal favourite track is Take It All Away. I don't know why, but it's just the track that resonates with me the most. I think every single second of this album is incredible though. I really enjoy this album, and I'd reach for it a decent amount. It's a solid album and one that I really do appreciate. I think if you like your classic rock bands, and your catchy guitar riffs (because that's something this album doesn't lack), then go and check this album out. It's insane. It's got a great feel to it, and I love every single second of it. Every track of the album gets a big yes from me, and I do really enjoy it. I'd highly recommend checking it out. I'm going to give this album a 5 out of 5 lemons. I really enjoy it! It's decent!
