Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're going to be talking about the new record from downcast! We've spoken about downcast many times before, I love this lot. They're great, and they've just dropped their new record a little over 2 weeks ago! A little bit behind on the review, but here we are, we're going to be talking about i saw hell when i was with you, and seeing if it really is as great as we expect it to be. The record consists of 9 tracks and has a listening time of just over 31 minutes. The opening track comes in the form of the single britannia mills, this is such a great track. I've loved this since it was first released, and I did a review of it back when it dropped, and I love the whole energy surrounding this track. It's just insane. I love it, and it's just as great now as it was when it was first released. It's got a great feel to it, and I love everything about it. It's just insane. Such a great track, and I love it even more now than I did upon first release. It's insane, if you haven't heard it, check it out! Next comes the track someplace safer, and the energy on this track is insane! I love this track and it's got a great feel to it, this track really is something else. Great feel to it, and I'm in love with every second of this track. I love everything on it, and it's just insane. This track has exceeded all expectations I once had for it, and I think this is a great track, that I know I'll have in heavy rotation. It's insane. Such a great track. Love every second it, and I know this is going to be one of my most listened to tracks currently. It's just insane! Now we get the fan favourite, catharsis. I feel like everyone knows this track, it's a great track, it really is, and there's a reason it's got as many streams as it has because it's insane. It's a great track, and one I love so much! If you've someone managed to avoid listening to this track, please change that. I've also done a full review of this track before as well, but it's just a great track and one that deserves the hype it's had over the years. It's a great track and I love it. It's phenomenal. The fourth track is a weight that i can't stand, which was another single from the record, and it's great. I did a full review of this track a few weeks back as well. I love it, and it's just such a great track, and the whole feel of this track is insane. I love every single second of this track, it's beautiful, it's not as dark and grungy feeling as some of the other tracks, but it's insane. The whole feel and energy of this track is where it's at. I love everything about this track, I loved it when it dropped, and I love it even more now. It's great. Truly is wonderful. The halfway point comes in the form of hell, which again, I did a full review of at the end of last year. It's another great track, and one that really had me hyped for this record, and rightly so. It's a surreal track, and that puts the first half of the record at a solid point, no dud tracks, no dull moments, every second has been well spent listening to this album. Truly a great track, and even though this is a track that again isn't as dark or heavy as previous tracks, it's still a great track, and this is just an anthem. I loved it when I reviewed it first, and I love it now! Moving on we come to, if u want 2, this track offers a different listening experience to the others as well, and it's got a faster tempo to it, and the beat is pretty catchy, and I really like the whole vibe of this track. This is one of those tracks you know you could lose your shit to, and truly it's a wonderful track. I love everything about this, although it's not as heavy, it's got a great beat to it, and it's just insane! Love this, and it truly is an impressive track! Love everything about this, and cannot recommend this track enough. This is probably in my top 3 tracks off this record! Now we're onto the final 3 tracks, the first of the trio is sylvan view, and this is possibly the calmest track on the record. It's got a chilled-out feeling to it compared to some of the other tracks, and I really enjoy it, it's a good track, and it's got a different feel to the other tracks on the record. I really like when you can tell the differences between tracks on EP's and albums, so I'm glad this track offers a different listening experience. It's just as good as the others, and it's got a nice little tempo change in it, and there's a bit of a build-up in it, and it's just great. Nice and refreshing compared to the other tracks on the record. The penultimate track is the last single from the record, mistakes that i have made, and it's a great track. This is the only single off the record I haven't previously reviewed, but the whole feel of this track is comparable to the other singles. It's dark, it's heavy, it's got a grungy feel to it, and the actual instrumental aspects of this track are possibly the heaviest we've heard on the record. It's great, I absolutely love it. Such a great feel and I know this is another track that will make its way into heavy rotation. That breakdown is the thing this release was missing, and we got it, so I'm honestly here for it! Such a great track! The final song comes in the form of i want to love again, which with the title, and the intro makes you think that it's going to be the dud song, but this track is not a bad track. There's that gradual build-up to it, and yes, it's calmer, it's softer than some of the other tracks, but it isn't a bad song, and you can feel the track change, you know what's coming with this track, it's one of those tracks that you can predict, and I just love it. It's everything. It does not let the record down, and it hits the spot. It's got a great feel to it, and I love every second of this track. This was everything I could have hoped this track would be and more. I love it. Truly phenomenal. Definitely packs a punch, and this is just a truly impressive track. To conclude, I think it's safe to say downcast have killed it with i saw hell when i was with you, this record is everything. It hits the spot, it's phenomenal. The record is everything I could have hoped it would be and more, and I'm blown away by it. It's exceeded all expectations, and I'm just here for it! Truly magnificent. Cannot recommend checking this record out enough! It's a solid 5 out of 5 lemons release! downcast have killed it, and I love every second of this record! Cannot recommend it enough!
