Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we’re talking more new releases and clearing that backlog a little bit more! Woo! Today we’re back and talking about Pavé again, as they’ve released their debut EP!
Pavé’s debut EP comes in the form of Distraction, which features the 4 most recent singles, Come Alive, Tyrant, Reset Me and Oceans. The only new, unreleased track to feature on this EP is Cherry Blossom! So whilst I won’t be talking a lot about the 4 singles we’ve reviewed, we will be delving deep into the new track!
The first track is Come Alive, which I love this track. I love the groove of this track, it’s got such a great feel to it, and it’s just generally a great track! I did a full review of this track in a recent release post when this track first dropped, and I still love it just as much, if not more. It’s still a great track and one I still love.
Next up comes Cherry Blossom. This is a rather short track, but it’s just so beautiful. I love the softness of this track, and the vocals! The vocals are such a stand out feature on this track, and it works so well and they’re complementary to the sound. I’m so blown away by just how beautiful and insanely phenomenal this track is. It’s just something else. I’m obsessed with this track, literally one of my favourite tracks Pavé have released, if not my favourite. The vocals are just exceptional, and whilst this is a soft, slow track, it’s just beautiful and it flows so nicely into Oceans. I cannot process just how insane this track is. There are not enough words to deserve the euphoric feeling this track radiates. I’m in love with it. This is arguably the best track on the EP. It’s just so well done, and so beautiful.
Next comes Oceans, and as I said this track flows so perfectly from the previous track. I’m obsessed with this track. This is just as beautiful as it’s always been, and I just love the whole sound and feel of this track. It’s beautiful and again, Alanya’s vocals win me over another time! This is just such a lovely track and one I cannot recommend checking out enough! Truly magnificent!
Track four comes in the form of Reset Me, which is one of the notable singles. This has such a cool feel to the track, and I just love the whole sound and vibe of it. This is just as good as it was when it first dropped. I’m obsessed with it and I cannot recommend it enough! Truly obsessed with it! I love this more now than I originally did and it’s just such a vibe!
The EP closes with Tyrant. This is a great follow on track from Reset Me, and this is one of my favourite singles from this EP! It’s just got such a great flow and such a great feel to it. The vocals are as incredible as ever, but the guitar is the stand out feature on this track. I just love it. It’s got such a great groove to it, and it’s just so addictive to listen to. One of the best song that Pavé have released!
In conclusion, I am blown away by this EP! I would have maybe preferred if there was 2 new tracks on the EP, but I’m still really happy with this EP. It’s got such a great feel to it, the songs flow so well from one to another, and the EP is well laid out. There’s a great range of tracks on the EP too, and it’s just such a well thought out and executed EP! This could see itself in the running for EP of the year. It’s incredible! Really impressed with it, so to conclude, I’m happy to give Distraction a solid 5 out of 5 lemons! Please, go show it some love if you haven’t already!
