GUMMY by Misplaced

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we have a new feature post talking about our friends in Misplaced, and their new EP GUMMY. We've had a few tracks from this EP already, and we've reviewed all of the singles from the EP, but now we have the EP, and I'm super stoked to be talking about this! There should be some more feature posts coming this week as well, so stay tuned for those!

The EP opens with TRIVIAL PURSUIT, and boy, this track had my attention from the get-go. This is one hell of a track, it's loud, it's anthemic. It's punchy, it's a right tune and a half, it's insane! Truly, this is one of the strongest opening tracks I think I've ever heard! This track goes hard, and I'm 100% here for it! I actually cannot get over how insane this track is, truly, what the hell, how are other tracks doing to compare to this? Truly, at a loss for words. I'm speechless. This is actually the only unreleased track from the EP, and truly, it is arguably the best! This track has a nice, heavy feel to it, but it goes so hard! It truly does pack a punch, and I'm well and truly in love with this track! This track is everything, truly, Misplaced just kill it with everything they put out, and this is proof of that. This track is flawless. Truly, everything I could have ever hoped it would be and more! This track for me is,  Four Year Strong but make them Scottish. Truly, this track is next level! The strongest opening track that could have possibly been!

This flows nicely into the next track, which comes in the form of GET THRU THE NIGHT. We've done a full review on this track, and whilst the tempo is a little faster than TRIVIAL PURSUIT, it's still an anthem and has the same sort of vibe to it. I loved this track when it dropped, and I still love it now. This is another solid track and one that really does prove just how insanely talented Misplaced are! It's loud, it's fast-paced, it's punchy, and it's a great track! I loved it when it dropped, and I love it even more now! Another solid track on this EP.

Now we move on to GHOSTTOWN, this is another great track and one that really impresses me. The tempo slows down a tad for this one, but it's just as great. It's more of a normal pace compared to fast-paced. I love this track, and the lyrics to this track are the stand-out element to me. Whilst, I love all elements of this track, the lyrics are where it's at. This track is another anthem, and there's just something about this track that does something for me. I love it, it's truly wonderful! 3 solid tracks in a row!

Next up comes, Theonlytimehefeelsfine, we reviewed this track the other week, and it still makes me emotional. There's just something about this track that makes me sad, and it's beautiful, it's a slower tempo compared to the rest of the EP, and it's a sad track, it's more stripped back and raw. The emotion is clear in this track, and there's just something about this track that makes me want to cry. I'd argue that this track is hard-hitting, it's emotional. There's something about it that just makes me want to tell those I love that I love them, it's a beautiful track, and I loved it when it first dropped, and I still love it now.

Finally, the EP concludes with LISTERINE. This will always be an anthem, the lyrics go hard, and it's a great contrast from the previous track, Theonlytimehefeelsfine. This track is just everything, it's insane. It's punchy, it's an anthem, and I love it. Every single second of this track impresses me, and I just love it! It's loud, it's a big mood, and it's flawless. I'm quite glad this is the closing track to the EP because it's perfect. It's a great song to round off the EP. Whilst every track was great, and I loved them all, it's 2 punchy, loud tracks opening and closing the EP, and that just leaves a good impression on the listener. I loved this track when it dropped, and I love it every more now.

To conclude, I think GUMMY is an incredible EP, and Misplaced have done it again. They've absolutely killed it, and they really are out here proving they are one of the best artists out there in the pop-punk genre. They really do have so much potential, and I'm super stoked to see what they put out next! A massive well done to the lovely lot that is Misplaced on another solid EP! I'm confident in giving GUMMY a solid 5 out of 5 lemons! They truly have killed it with this one! Please go check GUMMY out if you haven't already, as I truly do think this is in the running for EP of the year!
