The boys in Best Of Enemies are back! They’ve released their new EP which is their third one now! And oh my, it even got reviewed in Kerrang!
It’s four tracks of Pop-Rock/Alt Rock bliss (I could trigger Sam by saying pop-punk but it is not pop-punk in the slightest).
I think this EP is my favourite one to date. We start off the journey with I’m In Hell and to be honest, without this EP I probably would be in hell! I love I’m In Hell, I have since the first time I heard it. The lyrics are incredible and it’s just a very classic BoE song.
Next we transition into Running Rings and honestly, this may be my favourite track on the EP. I love the sound, the energy, the lyrics. It’s just a song that makes you want to sing along.
After this we move onto Shake The Feeling , which again since the release of the track I have loved. The sound of this song stands out against the other three, and I love it. It’s not much different in sound but it just has that little extra something.
The last track on the EP is 22 (but no I am not feeling 22). This song is very laid back so yes it’s also different but that’s because it’s got acoustic parts in it. But it’s not much different in the sound to the other tracks. It’s slowed down though and it’s quite a beautiful track. It sounds like something The Mocking Jays would release, if you’re aware of who they are then it gives me similar vibes to Isley Walton.
Overall I love this EP and I think it’s great. I’ll definitely be getting a lot of listening out of it. And I can imagine it being the soundtracks to some drives and some nights.
I’ll give it a 5 out of 5 lemons, and that’s just cause I’m In Hell does it for me. It reminds me of Way Of Life which is my favourite BoE track, so because of that I’ve gotta turn my 4.5 into an 8. It’s a great EP and I would highly recommend it if you’re on the lookout for a new EP to listen to!
