Recent Releases: Clay J Gladstone, Misplaced and Protect Your Heart

Welcome back to the blog! I’m sorry I’ve been away for a few weeks, and that some of these reviews have subsequently been delayed. I aim to clear the backlog within the next week. I needed time away because in case you missed it on my socials, 2 of my grandparents passed away within 4 days of each other on the Easter bank holiday weekend. So, I needed some space, but I’m back! Today we’re going to be talking about Protect Your Heart, Clay J Gladstone and Misplaced! 3 bands we love and adore and are blog favourites!

Let’s kick this post off with We Will Never Be Heroes by Protect Your Heart. At this point Protect Your Heart may as well be my favourite small band. Truly the most magnificent band, and one with so much potential. No matter what they put out they always kill it. This track is no different, it’s an absolute belter! Maybe it doesn’t go as hard as some of their other tracks but I still love it all tue same. I think it’s just the intensity and catchiness that’s different. It’s definitely what I expected from them, and truly it’s wonderful! Absolutely adore this track! I just love every single second of this track. It’s wonderful, it’s magnificent, it hits the spot and I’m obsessed with it! Truly wonderful, cannot recommend this song enough! We Will Never Be Heroes is everything you could have hoped for from Protect Your Heart, and it packs a punch. It’s an absolute tune, and with a listening time of a little over 4 minutes it still manages to keep you engaged. I’ve listened to this track so much since it dropped, and truly it’s magnificent! If you haven’t heard it already then you need to change that! Protect Your Heart are one of the best bands out there, and every track they put out just proves that point more and more. This track is no exception, and it’s another solid 5 out of 5 lemons track from this wonderful lot! I do think that tue more I listen to this track the more in love with it I’ll be. Please go and check this track out if you haven’t already, or if you’ve somehow put off listening to Protect Your Heart yet then do that too! Truly a wonderful band!

A Place That Feels Like Home by Slackrr

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're going to be talking about the new album from Slackrr. I'm a little bit late to the review, but we're here and we're doing it! So let's cut the rambling and get into talk about A Place That Feels Like Home by Slackrr. The album opens with Home, and it's insane. The energy is insane, Slackrr pack a punch with their music, and this track is a perfect example of that, it's got a great energy to it, it holds your attention, and to say this track is nearly 4 minutes long, it doesn't feel like it, so that's always good, I love the intensity of this track too. It's not heavy, it's just fast-paced, and has a good feel to it, which is what we want from an opening track of an album. I really love this track, and it's a strong opening track. The second track comes in the form of Playing With Fire, which is truly something else. I love this track, it's phenomenal, and it's one I cannot recommend en

Truly magnificent. It’s got some subtle tempo changes, and truly this hits the spot! I’m obsessed with this! This is one of those tracks that seems to fly by! Recent Releases: Ollie Hayes and Protect Your Heart

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! It's been a couple of weeks since I've posted because I've been ill and it's been the festive season, and at this point, most people know I do try and take a month off around the festive period, but with very few releases coming out, and no gigs for a while yet, I've taken 2 weeks off between Christmas and New Year, and then I'm going to try and chill out between now and my birthday because in the coming weeks I want to be doing the 2021 Annual Lemon Awards. Not the half a year thing, the full year. A year in review, where I look at all releases from January 1st to December 31st. So, let's get these last few releases from 2021 reviewed so they can at least be a contender for the Lemon Awards.  Up first, let's talk about Protect Your Heart because that's only a single to talk about, whereas Ollie's review is an album review. So a few weeks back Protect Your Heart released their latest track "Worst Side of M
