Therefore I Am by The Blams

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're going to be talking about the latest single from our friends in The Blams, so let's skip the waffling and get into this!

Straight off, this is not a track to play around my dog because the intro features a dog barking and she thinks that means she can bark. However, this track does offer a darker, grungier sound and feel to it than some of the other tracks we've heard from The Blams. This is definitely a darker track and one that has more muted vocals in comparison to the instrumental aspects of the track. It's a great track, but that is something to note. This track is also a shorter, punchier track, like yesterday's track was, this track has a listening time of under 3 minutes, so whilst not beating Hightail, it's still short and sweet. I will say that these shorter tracks that seem to be the trend currently, are so much punchier than their longer counterparts. These are shorter songs done right. Every second of this track is phenomenal.

The Blams certainly know what they're doing, and they're killing it! They're a phenomenal band and one that I love so much! Therefore I am has won me over, like every other track we've spoken about from this lovely lot, it's truly magnificent! I love this track, and it's just a bop really. The grungier sound makes me want to listen to it more, and it's one that I know if it came on during my daily commute, it would make the drive so much more enjoyable! This is a track I could listen to on repeat and not get bored of! It's truly something spectacular! I love it! The Blams are killing it with this track! Absolutely love it!

If you haven't heard this track yet, then I'd strongly recommend going and checking it out, it's a great track that's faultless, although I do normally criticise muted vocals, on a grungier track I don't complain, because that's what I expect, so this is a great track. It's solid, one of the strongest tracks we've heard from The Blams! Truly wonderful! Therefore I Am is getting a solid 5 out of 5 lemons from me!

A Place That Feels Like Home by Slackrr

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're going to be talking about the new album from Slackrr. I'm a little bit late to the review, but we're here and we're doing it! So let's cut the rambling and get into talk about A Place That Feels Like Home by Slackrr. The album opens with Home, and it's insane. The energy is insane, Slackrr pack a punch with their music, and this track is a perfect example of that, it's got a great energy to it, it holds your attention, and to say this track is nearly 4 minutes long, it doesn't feel like it, so that's always good, I love the intensity of this track too. It's not heavy, it's just fast-paced, and has a good feel to it, which is what we want from an opening track of an album. I really love this track, and it's a strong opening track. The second track comes in the form of Playing With Fire, which is truly something else. I love this track, it's phenomenal, and it's one I cannot recommend en

Recent Releases: Ollie Hayes and Protect Your Heart

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! It's been a couple of weeks since I've posted because I've been ill and it's been the festive season, and at this point, most people know I do try and take a month off around the festive period, but with very few releases coming out, and no gigs for a while yet, I've taken 2 weeks off between Christmas and New Year, and then I'm going to try and chill out between now and my birthday because in the coming weeks I want to be doing the 2021 Annual Lemon Awards. Not the half a year thing, the full year. A year in review, where I look at all releases from January 1st to December 31st. So, let's get these last few releases from 2021 reviewed so they can at least be a contender for the Lemon Awards.  Up first, let's talk about Protect Your Heart because that's only a single to talk about, whereas Ollie's review is an album review. So a few weeks back Protect Your Heart released their latest track "Worst Side of M
