Disassociate by Light Grey

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Ah, it feels like forever since we last spoke about the ever so lovely, Light Grey. That may be because it has been nearly a year. However, a few things have changed with Light Grey since the release of the likes of Bitter. Light Grey is now a duo rather than a trio, the band took a step back for a few months, but they're back with their brand new single Disassociate. This track dropped TODAY! I'm so hyped about the fact they reached out to me and asked me to do some press for them a couple of weeks ago, and well, here we are! We're going to talk about Disassociate!

Now, Disassociate has a different feel to it in comparison to the more popular and classic Light Grey tracks. Disassociate opts for more of an electronic and Twenty One Pilots and Waterparks feel to it. This doesn't mean that the song is terrible though. I really love the feel of this track, and I think because it has that different sound to it, it has a really interesting and refreshing feel to it. The chorus is a true stand out element of the track, which, is how I personally believe a chorus should be. I love the feel of it, and it's just such a great track.

Disassociate is an incredible track and one that I really love! I think it's insane. I love the feel of this track, and I just know I'm going to be listening to this track a lot. It has that classic Light Grey twist to it, with its overly relatable lyrics and engaging feel to it. I honestly love this track, and I'm so glad Light Grey are back. Whilst, Bitter will remain my favourite Light Grey track, this is still an incredible song, and I do prefer it to some of their other tracks.

Disassociate, whilst it may not be everyone's desired sound and feel, it's still an incredible track, that's worthy of so much love and appreciation. This sounds like a Light Grey track, so whilst it has a different feel to it, it's still very much a Light Grey track. I'm a big fan of this track, and the more I've listened to it, the more it's grown on me. I can't really fault anything about the track, it's got the tempo changes from the verse and chorus and I just really like this track. I can't really point fault at anything regarding this track. Well done to Ciaran and Mikey on this track!

Overall, I really like Disassociate. I think it's an incredible track and one that I would highly recommend you going and checking out. This is a catchy track and one that has its own unique identity and doesn't sound like another version of a previous song. I'd have to give Disassociate a solid 5 out of 5 lemons. I love this track, I think it's great! Please, go check it out and let's show Light Grey the love and support they deserve.

Introducing: Feel Something

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today I'm back doing an introducing post! It feels like it's been a long time since I last did one of these! Fun fact, about a month ago Jamie messaged me but it went into my spam folder on Messenger so I didn't get the message until a couple of days ago, however, a week or so ago Aaron messaged me on Messenger, and it went into my main inbox. I booked Aaron in back when he messaged me, and when I found Jamie's message I booked him in too, however, yesterday when I was coming to do the prep work for this post, I realised, both Aaron and Jamie are in the same band... this seems like the sort of thing I should have noticed at the time, but either way, thanks to Jamie and Aaron for reaching out! Thank you to you both for trusting me enough to talk about your band! So, let's not ramble anymore and let's talk about Feel Something!  Feel Something are a pop-punk/emo band from Chesire, UK. The band consists of:  Aaron Ross - Vocals J

A Million Times Before by Segarra

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today I'm featuring a new band... finally! Today we're talking about Segarra, a band based in the East Midlands, and we all know, Notts, Derby and Leicester bands have a very strong place in my heart. I adore them. I love them all, well the nice ones anyway. Pretty much, if you're a local band to me, and you're nice then I probably love you. Now, I've been aware of Segarra for a while now, I've seen them on lineups and things like that, but I'd never really paid that much attention to them. Until the other day when I got a lovely message off them asking if I'd be alright doing some press for them. I said yes, because well, I love supporting as many small bands as I can. So, today, Friday the 3rd of September 2021, Segarra released their 3rd single, A Million Times Before. That's the main point of this post, but, I'm just going to do a mini introduction to them beforehand.  Segarra are a band based in the East M

Introducing: The Galacticas

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! This post was supposed to happen last week, but if you missed the memo I've been recovering from a dislocated shoulder so it's been pretty difficult getting content out. However, I'm back! I'm doing this post finally! So, today we're going to be doing a bit of an introducing post to The Galacticas. Anthony messaged me at the end of last month and sent his band in as a submission. Funnily enough, without even releasing, I've had The Galacticas on the Small Band Appreciate playlist for months now! Anyway, let's get into talking about The Galacticas.  The Galacticas are a three-piece, pop-punk band from the states.  The band consists of:  Anthony Janicki - Vocals and Guitar Will Cowan - Drummer Mark Ferguson - Bass and Backing Vocals The Galacticas have a lot of releases for a small band, and too many for me to put into one post. But they are a band with a lot of potential and talent. Although they aren't my favourite band
