Nice To See Ya.. by Zak Fox

Welcome back to me introducing you to another new artist! Zak Fox has released his first track titled 'Nice To See Ya..' and of course, this is me, and I love showcasing new talent so I was more than happy to do some blog content on the release!  Nice To See Ya... is very much an indie/alt-rock sort of vibe track. It's a really nice song to listen to, and it radiates such good energy. Zak did the drums, bass, guitar and vocals, and that is just incredible! For a song to sound and be at the standard where you'd expect it to have been made by a big group of people, it makes you appreciate the track and talent even more!  So, as I said this is Zak's first track and I can't believe just how incredible this track is, especially as a debut single! I was so blown away by just how incredible this track is when I first heard it, and the novelty didn't wear off as I listened to the track more and more. That's another thing about this track, it's one of those

Billionaire Nightmare by Artio

So, today I am again bringing you content on a band I've never featured on the blog before, and that band is Artio!  Artio are a three-piece alt-pop band from Leeds! The trio consists of;  Hol Brazill Ieuan Jones Rob Arkle  They released their latest track 'Billionaire Nightmare' a few weeks ago on the 29th of January 2021. In such a short space of time, the track has already amassed over 11,000 streams on Spotify alone. Since 2019 they've released multiple EPs and singles, proving that they're taking their music seriously.  Now, let's talk about the track!  From the first few seconds I knew this was going to be a belter, and it really doesn't disappoint. It packs the biggest punch I've seen in a while. the build up in the verses to that ever so powerful chorus. The vocals, the guitar, the drums! Everything about this track is phenomenal.  Don't let the fact that Artio are alt-pop give you the wrong impression, because this truly is what you'd

Let Loose by Taxi With Strangers

Welcome back to the blog, and today I'm introducing a new band to the blog. I was approached by their management and asked if I'd be willing to do a post, and of course, this is me, so I said yes!  Taxi with Strangers are an indie-rock band from Lancashire, and if you're a fan of The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys or The Night Cafe then Taxi with Strangers could be the band for you! They mix indie-rock with melodic guitar riffs and post-punk inspired vocals to create their own, unique sound.  On the 12th of February Taxi with Strangers released their latest single Let Loose, and I'm here to tell you what I thought of it!  The intro to this track had me wondering what to expect, and then when the song kicked in, I was pleasantly surprised. Anybody that's not new around here, knows I'm not normally a fan of long intros, because I lose interest and they bore me, and yes, I personally would have preferred a shorter intro, but I don't actually have a problem with this

Wishful Thinking by Near Mrs

Welcome back to another blog post! Today I'm going to be talking about Near Mrs' latest track Wishful Thinking which only dropped today (11th February). Although this song has only just dropped, I was kindly sent the track a few weeks back by the lads in Near Mrs and as always, I'm bringing you my thoughts on it!  Now, I can tell you this track is incredible, I thought that the first time I heard it, and I still think that now. This track absolute slaps, and that chorus is extraordinary! The vocals, the lyrics, the guitar, the drums, the bass, everything about this track is a massive yes! I'm a firm believer that Near Mrs are one of the best local bands, and this track is proof of that, as if the past 4 singles haven't been enough proof. Honestly, such an incredible band and this song is just something else!  The riffs, the intro, the outro, the change within the sound, those bits that make your brain go "oh shit, they really did that". When I say you all

Desensitized by The Ones You Forgot

Welcome back to the bog once again, where again, I'm talking about a new release by a new band. This is a band I've only mentioned once before on the blog, but The Ones You Forgot were lovely enough to allow me to do this post, so I thought that now was the perfect time to properly talk about them.  The Ones You Forgot released their latest track Desensitized on Friday the 5th and just like their previous releases this song is a belter! Now, this song is incredible, from the intro you expect this to be a slow track, but in reality, it's a pretty fast-paced, incredible track.  The vocals on this track are so beautiful, they're enough to win anybody over, and the lyrics that accompany the vocals, just yes! Incredible! This song is a massive win just off those two elements alone. The drums, guitar and bass on this track are also incredible, and I'm just in love with this track.  This is a track that I knew I'd like but didn't expect to be this in love with. H

When I'm High by Dead Bundy

Welcome back to the blog, and today I'm introducing a new band to the blog. Today's band is actually a band I've admired for a while, and that is Dead Bundy. They're a band from the states, who I added to the Small Band Appreciation playlist months ago.  On Friday, Dead Bundy released their latest single 'When I'm High'. From the second I heard this track, I knew that I had to do a review of this track.  I feel like this track has major blink-182 vibes, but there are more elements to it than just blink vibes, and it just works so well, insanely catchy guitar riffs, heavy drums, complimentary vocals and catchy lyrics. This song is just phenomenal.  I'm obsessed with this track, and it's just incredible, this has to be one of the best tracks I've heard in so long, and the level of talent Dead Bundy has, which is showcased with this track is next level, they truly are an incredible band, one that deserves to be so much bigger than they currently are

Posty by Lewis Kelly

If you're a regular around here then you will know that I think very highly of Lewis Kelly and I truly believe he is going to make it big one day. This man has immense talent, and he knows how to make an incredible track. So of course, when I saw that he was releasing a new track I was proper excited, this track is called Posty, and like his two previous releases it's phenomenal!  With a listening time of just over 2 minute, it packs a lot more of a punch than expected. I actually think this is my favourite track Lewis has released from the 3, it's got such a cool vibe to it, and an incredible track. I love the beat of this track, and it's a song I can easily listen to on repeat for hours and not get bored.  It's a song that when you listen to it on repeat blends so seamlessly, it's an incredible song, with incredible vocals. The vibes of this song are just insane, and it's such an enjoyable song to listen to. The sound isn't dissimilar to Unemployed a

Drown by Cherry Bleach

Welcome back to the blog, and as you may be able to tell, I am welcoming another new band to the blog! Today's band is Cherry Bleach! Fun fact, just before they reached out to me and asked if I wanted to work with them, I was actually contemplating dropping them a message to see if they wanted to work with me. Anyway, they reached out and asked if I wanted to work with them and do a post on their new single Drown, and of course, this is me so I said yes!  Now, Cherry Bleach are a 4 piece psychedelic grunge band from Aberdeen, Scotland. They consist of;  Alisha Wilkie -Vocals and Rhythm Guitar Ewan Watson - Bass Thomas Reid - Lead Guitar George Hudson - Drums So, on Friday 29th of January, Cherry Bleach released their latest track, Drown! Now, not to generalise but songs with drown in the title tend to be pretty solid.  So, this track is a lot softer than I expected, I was expecting this to be a lot more aggressive and in your face, but it's actually a lot softer, and quite po
