Funny by Give Me A Reason

I've never done a review of a Give Me A Reason track before, but I've been following them for a good few months, and I was obsessed with their last track Sad. So let's talk about their new release Funny!

Funny is very much a stereotypical modern pop-punk song.

It's a super infectious track, that's exciting to listen to. It's a sound that a lot of bands seem to be turning towards, but I don't think many bands pull off this sound and vibe like Give Me A Reason do.

You know I have to talk about this, but yes, Funny has some change and depth within the sound and it's got some decent lyrics, which as you know, automatically gives it a minimum of 3 out of 5, but this song is great. It's incredible in fact, it's one of my favourite releases recently.

It's got such a good beat to it, and all day it's been stuck in my head. I'm well and truly obsessed with it. It really does hit the spot, and I think it's just insane. I love that whilst sounding like a lighter pop-punk track, it also has such a great vibe to it, and I love that you can actually hear and appreciate every member. It isn't like one element is overpowering, it's so well balanced! I'm honestly obsessed!

I can't even put it into words just how great this track is! I can't get over how good this track is, it's one of those songs that's come out at the perfect time as well! Like the lyrics really are hitting home currently, and I cannot recommend Give Me A Reason enough!

Funny is just a super relateable, super catchy, mind-blowing track! Mattia has such a beautiful voice, and I really am just blown away by the talent this band has! If you haven't heard of Give Me A Reason before then go and check them out! And if you have but you haven't heard Funny yet, then what are you waiting for? Go do it!

I feel like Funny is going to end up being my most listened to song currently, and it's one of those tracks where I don't think the novelty will wear off, I think it's always going to slap like the rest of their discography does!

Now the bit most people don't care about, but the band themselves tends to care about... my rating!

If you've heard this song, it won't surprise you that I'm giving it a 5 out of 5 lemons! I will also give it a 5 out of 5 lemons, but some of you don't accept that as a real rating, so formally 5 out of 5 lemons! Possibly a strong contender for one of the best tracks of the year! I'm just so blown away by this track and I'm well and truly in love with it.  Please go check it out and show Give Me A Reason some love, they really do deserve it!

What's Left For Us? by All Over Again

Welcome/welcome back to another blog post! Today I'm talking about All Over Again, who are a Nottingham alt-rock band! We all know, that I love alt-rock and I love Notts bands! I'm very enthusiastic about bands from my city, so I was more than happy to do some coverage on this EP when I got an email asking if I'd be willing to do a post about it. So, here we are. All Over Again released an EP yesterday (30th April), and I'm going to be talking about my thoughts on the tracks!  The first track on the EP is, Breathe Me In which was the first track released from the EP. It starts off quite slow, but it builds up, and I love that. Grace has a beautiful voice, and I love that there are tempo changes throughout the song, because at this point, anybody that's read my reviews before, knows that's the one thing that makes me fall in love with a track. I think this is such an incredible track, it's beautiful, I love everything about this track, I think it's incr

Loughborough to Lichfield by Next Year

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're going to be talking about Next Year's latest release Loughborough to Lichfield, which was released last Friday (April 30th). Now, I have worked with Next Year before. I reviewed Long Way Home back when that dropped last year. This is the follow-up single to said release, and because of how much I loved Long Way Home, I was apprehensive about hearing this track, just because I've loved everything they've put out previously, so it's that moment of "Is this going to be as good as, worse or better than the rest of the discography?". However, upon listening to it, it was clear to see that this was living up to expectations.  It has a loud, anthemic intro, it's not overly long, and it managed to keep my attention for the intro, which is essential to me. I need the start and end of any release to grab my attention to leave a decent impression. So, yeah, I was pretty impressed with the intro, it was very classic po
