Hand Me Downs (Mac Miller) by The Mocking Jays

So with their new track dropping in less than 2 weeks the boys are back to give us another little treat, this time it’s in the form of a cover of Hand Me Downs by Mac Miller.

It’s a lovely song to start with, but The Mocking Jays have really given it the justice it deserved! Jay's voice on this cover is something else.

I always say anything that the lads in TMJ do is beautiful, but you don’t have to be a fan to realise that this cover is something else! It really is beautiful.

I have always said that the boys are super talented and that Jay has a lovely voice, that still stands, and for them to take a song like Hand Me Downs by Mac Miller and cover it as well as they have, shows that.

Some covers don't live up to the original, but this cover is honestly such a good cover! I didn't actually expect the cover to be as good as it is, and I also didn't expect to love it as much as I do. Of course, I knew I was going to love it, but the level of love I have for this is insane! It's honestly, so good and I really do highly rate it! I adore it a lot, and it's a damn good cover!

Honestly, well done boys!

There isn't much more I can say because it's a cover of a song, but I love it, and I think you should give it a listen and check it out, and if you're new to the world of TMJ then please go and check out their music, because they're one of my favourite bands and they're incredibly talented!

Recent Releases: Autumn Fires, Prime and The Headspace

Ahh! I'm back! Today we're talking Recent Releases again! I do need to do a part 2 to this post where I talk about Ollie Hayes and maybe a couple of others, but today I just want to talk about new singles. We're going to be talking about new tracks from The Headspace, Prime and Autumn Fires. I've been away for a few weeks because I've just been so ill recently. I've had tonsillitis, then I badly injured my ankle, and I've just not been vibing with life lately. But I'm back! Part 2 of this will be coming soon!   First up, let's talk about Autumn Fires, they dropped their debut EP a few weeks back, and I love Autumn Fires. I think they're a phenomenal band and one that have so much potential to achieve great things. However, part of me was a little lacklustre with the EP because every track besides 1 was something we'd already heard. There was only 1 new track on the EP, which I mean, thankfully, it was a new track, but it was released as a sin

Recent Releases: Ollie Hayes and Protect Your Heart

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! It's been a couple of weeks since I've posted because I've been ill and it's been the festive season, and at this point, most people know I do try and take a month off around the festive period, but with very few releases coming out, and no gigs for a while yet, I've taken 2 weeks off between Christmas and New Year, and then I'm going to try and chill out between now and my birthday because in the coming weeks I want to be doing the 2021 Annual Lemon Awards. Not the half a year thing, the full year. A year in review, where I look at all releases from January 1st to December 31st. So, let's get these last few releases from 2021 reviewed so they can at least be a contender for the Lemon Awards.  Up first, let's talk about Protect Your Heart because that's only a single to talk about, whereas Ollie's review is an album review. So a few weeks back Protect Your Heart released their latest track "Worst Side of M

Biggest Regret (she is the worst, she is the best) by Until You Disappear

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! I know I’ve been away for a few weeks, but I needed a break. I feel like work, the blog and uni is just all a bit overwhelming currently. But I said I was going to attempt blogmas, so let’s attempt it! Let’s do a review a day and clear this back log! New bands, old bands, albums, EP’s, singles. Let’s do this!   So today let’s kick this off with talking about Until You Disappear and their latest single Biggest Regret (she is the worst, she is the best). Now it’s no secret that I love Until You Disappear. This has a bit more a punk feel to to it compared to some of their previous singles. I’m still a big fan of this track, and it’s decent. It’s punchy, and it’s impactful. It’s a great track and one that I know I’ll come to adore just as much as precious singles. This is a phenomenal track, and it’s although it’s got that more punk feeling to it than the likes of Let Go and Drunk Me, it’s still a phenomenal track and one that it’s going to appeal to a lot
