The Lockdown Sessions by Embxrs

So I haven't mentioned Embxrs yet, but here I am telling you about Embxrs. So they're an alt rock/pop band from Notts, they consist of Abi who's the lead singer, Ebony who is the bassist, Lou who is the drummer and Lewis who is the guitarist. Lou and Lewis were in Don't Forget Rupert so that's how I came to discover them, and they've released some Lockdown Sessions, so essentially they covered some songs during lockdown, and they've released a cover of Level Of Concern by Twenty One Pilots, a cover of Fall by Neck Deep and a cover of I Think I'm Okay by Machine Gun Kelly, I love all of these tracks, and if you know me you know I Think I'm Okay is one of my all time favourite tracks and it's my 5th most listened to of all time, so I thought why not review them? Spoiler alert, they're amazing. Abi, your voice is beautiful, Ebony, Lewis, Lou, you are all incredibly talented and I'm so proud of you all, I will continue to support you.

So that's enough rambling from me, here we go!

Level Of Concern -

First of all, the cover is incredible. They have done such a great cover of Level of Concern, and from the first time I heard it I knew I was going to love them, and they really didn't disappoint. At the end of the day it's a cover so I can only tell you how much I like their version of the track, and honestly, it's incredible, I want to say I prefer to the original, and I will say that. I love it, it's incredible. They've done so well with this track, and the video is great because of the animals. Abi's cat is adorable, and Lewis' dog is also just as adorable. So I mean if you're looking for a decent cover of Level of Concern and you want to see a cute cat and a cute dog, then please go and listen to it, because would 100% recommend!

I'll give the cover a solid 5 out of 5 lemons, we all knew this was going to happen. I love it! Go and show them some love!

I Think I'm Okay -

So let's talk about this because I have so much love for the original so the question is does it come anywhere close to it? The answer is yes. I love MGK, and I love this song, so it takes a lot for me to love a cover of a song that I love this much, but it's a great cover. Abi has such a beautiful voice, honestly could listen to her sing anything at this point. It's an amazing cover, and I love it. It's beautiful, it's well done, it sounds great, it doesn't sound dissimilar to the original. It's just an overall enjoyable cover and I love it. It's great, I mean I love the song a lot so I have to love it, but it's an amazing cover, and it proves that Embxrs have so much talent! I would 100% recommend checking this out!

Overall, I'll give it another 5 out of 5 lemons, because it's just so beautiful and so good!

Fall -

Let me just start off by saying how beautiful this is, I feel blessed after listening to this. This is honestly, such an incredible cover. Is it bad that I might actually prefer the cover to the original? Like the original is good, but this cover is insane!  The talent in this band, honestly! How do they have so much talent? I feel like I'm going to end up repeating everything I've said before, but honestly, they're such a talented band, like these covers are insanely good! Would 100% recommend you go and check them out, because, I'm honestly speechless at the talented in this band. Honestly, love them so much going off these 3 covers, maybe they're jumping into my top 5 small bands...

Honestly, I cannot give Fall any less than 5 out of 5 lemons, and if you don't understand why then watch the covers and understand why. You can't deny that they're insanely talented and deserve so much love and appreciation, so please, go and check them out!

What's Left For Us? by All Over Again

Welcome/welcome back to another blog post! Today I'm talking about All Over Again, who are a Nottingham alt-rock band! We all know, that I love alt-rock and I love Notts bands! I'm very enthusiastic about bands from my city, so I was more than happy to do some coverage on this EP when I got an email asking if I'd be willing to do a post about it. So, here we are. All Over Again released an EP yesterday (30th April), and I'm going to be talking about my thoughts on the tracks!  The first track on the EP is, Breathe Me In which was the first track released from the EP. It starts off quite slow, but it builds up, and I love that. Grace has a beautiful voice, and I love that there are tempo changes throughout the song, because at this point, anybody that's read my reviews before, knows that's the one thing that makes me fall in love with a track. I think this is such an incredible track, it's beautiful, I love everything about this track, I think it's incr

Again by Surviving December

Welcome/welcome back to the blog, and today I'm going to be talking about a band I've never spoken about before called Surviving December and more specifically their latest single 'Again'. They are said to take inspiration from the old pop-punk/punk-rock classics that were often the founding fathers of the music genre.  From the intro alone, it's got that classic vibe to it. A sound that is familiar, and something that any pop-punk fan will recognise and enjoy. It's engaging to listen to, and I can easily listen to this track on repeat without getting bored. It's a decent track and I have to admit, I'm really impressed with it, more than I ever could have anticipated. I think it's a decent track, and although, I wouldn't say it's one of those fast, catchy songs, it's still a good song and a song doesn't have to be catchy to be good, it's a song that I would find myself having stuck in my head. I like this track a lot, and I think
