Single Review: Better Off Before by Holygood

I'm writing this as I do my first listen, and I just want to say that I am crying because this is such a beautiful track and I love Holygood so much! I can't believe Holygood really did that! They did that! I am so incredibly proud of this band. The amount this band has grown, they grew from Light You Up into Holygood and they're really out here making songs to scream and cry to, and I love this band with every ounce of my being!

So this is the most beautiful song they've ever released even as LYU, nothing tops this track! I am so emotional over this song, and I haven't cried like this to a song since Isley Walton came out and that was over a year ago. Better Off Before is the song that's really tugging at my heartstrings and that's going to make me cry every time I hear it.

I just want to say, that this is probably going to be my song of the year because this song is something else. Even after half an hour, I am still crying over this song, so that says something about how much this song hits me, and how much I love it. Please inject this song into my veins because this is my new favourite song and I'm so emotional, I just need you all to listen to it right now! No hesitation, go and listen to it right now!

So Better Off Before, is a song that if you love this band, you're going to get emotional about the video to it, and the lyrics, the lyrics are something else! It's such an emotional song, but it isn't slow and acoustic, it's still loud, and it's still got a decent speed to it, but it's such a moving song, and maybe that's just me, but you might agree with me! I cannot get over how much talent Holygood have and I just want to say for about the 10000th time that, I wholeheartedly love this band, and I am so thankful for their existence and their music.

Better Off Before, is really that song. It's that song for Holygood, and I cannot even put it into words how much I love this track, the pure talent is out of this world, I don't understand how they aren't one of the biggest bands in the scene because, they are so talented and they really are just such an incredible band. Tohm has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever know, and I will hand on heart say that there is not one member of Holygood that lacks talent, every single member is incredibly talented and I want them all to know I love them and I will always support them.

So anyway, Better Off Before, is incredible and if you haven't listened to Holygood yet I need you to stop what you're doing and go and give them a lot of love and support, they are one of the best bands out there currently, and they have more talent than a lot of other bands out there, and I will always sing their praises because they're incredible, and they seem like such lovely people! They're a band I'd love to see live, because I can imagine they'd be insane live.

So please, go and show the lads all the love and support you physically can! They're incredible, they're such an outstanding band, and they deserve all the good things. They deserve to achieve massive things. So please, go and support them!

Overall, I can't give it any less than a 5 out of 5 and I want to give it a 6 out of 5 so I will, it's a 6 out of 5, but for the people that don't like when scores like that are given it's a 5 out of 5 lemons. I can't rate it any lower, because this really is the song for me. This is the song that's pushed Holygood right to the top of both my favourite smaller bands and to the top of my all time bands. Better Off Before, did that and I once again, am so incredibly proud of Holygood!

Purgatory by Nautical Mile

If you know me, or you're not new around here, then you will know that Nautical Mile is one of my all-time favourite bands. They're phenomenal, and I truly believe they are incapable of making bad music. They're the band behind my joint-favourite album of all time, and I never really shut up about them. So, if you're unfamiliar with them, then Nautical Mile are an Australian pop-punk/post-hardcore band! They're mind-blowingly incredible!  They announced that they had signed to Manic Kat Records, and they dropped a new song on Friday, they didn't really announce it, they just did it.  Straight off, I will admit that I couldn't resist listening to it, and I absolutely love it! I think it's incredible, but I don't want to say too much right now. We'll come back to this at the end.  So Purgatory is similar to some of the tracks we saw on The Only Way Is Through, but the chorus really hits the spot. The chorus goes so far, and Brodi's vocals!  Now

The Only Way Is Through by Nautical Mile, A Year On...

So, just over two weeks ago, The Only Way Is Through turned 1! If you have no idea what The Only Way Is Through is, then it's Nautical Mile's debut album. I've spoken about Nautical Mile a lot, on my socials and on here. Nautical Mile is in my top bands of all time, they are incredible! They are such a solid band and I have so much love and appreciation for them. I love them that much, that I probably would order their merch, but I'm kinda worried about umm shipping costs and import fees, especially when I'm a student and not on a lot of money.  This album kind of changed my life. It is solid, it is possibly in my top 3 albums of all time, and that takes a lot for me to say.  I found Nautical Mile not long after this album was released, and I've been hooked on them ever since. It started with Wake Up, and now I just love every single song they've put out.  The whole point of me doing this post is to reflect on how I felt about the album a year ago, and compa

Killing Giants by Holygood

Holygood are back! After what seems like forever, but in reality, hasn't actually been that long Holygood are back and they've released their 4th track of the year. This time, they're back with a new vibe and sound whilst still sounding very much like classic Holygood.  Now, Holygood's last release was Better Off Before which I still listen to a lot! I think it's the best song they've released, and it really is just an incredible track. However, because Better Off Before was as good as it was, I felt very reluctant about new music, because like I've said in posts on other bands, when the previous release is so incredible, how can a band really top that. That's my main thought when going into this track, is it as good as Better Off Before? Can they really top that release?  The intro had me a little confused, and very sceptical of what was about to happen. It's definitely got a lot of rap elements/influences within it, but that's not necessarily
