New In Music... Well, Kind Of...

So this is pretty much just the releases that have came out in the past two months, there were on my radar but I forgot to review, life's been hectic recently, but I'm catching up, so here we go, enjoy this multi band review!

So here we go!

Downcast are a band I said I'd review for ages now but something else always crops up so I haven't been able to! But here we go!

Downcast released Catharsis just over two months ago! What a tune honestly! It's such a bop, and this is what I'd class as a perfect song! Downcast are just one of them bands I can't point fault in, because they're just that good! They release banger after banger! They really are a band that deserves all the love and support in the world! So Catharsis is one of my favourite songs to be released this year, it's in the top 5. It'd take a lot for me to rank it lower, and it's my favourite track I'm going to mention here. I absolutely adore the track, the lyrics are incredible, and the vocals! The vocals on this track are out of this world, the sound as a whole is just a massive yes. Catharsis is my definition of perfection, and I rarely say a song is perfect, so that really does say how much I love this track! It's a flawless track, and if you get time to, then please go listen to it, and show Downcast all the love in the world, because what a solid band! Got a lot of love for Downcast. They are one of the best pop-punk bands, and their music excites me. I like a lot of bands, but not all bands excite me with their music, and Downcast are one of the bands I do get excited about, and honestly, I cannot hype Catharsis enough, so please, go and give the track some love!

Overall, I have to give the track a solid 5 out of 5 lemons, if I could give it more, I would, honestly, what a tune!

Where To Find Downcast:

Stay Free:

Okay, so in the past two months we've had two new tracks from Stay Free and I actually only discovered Stay Free because of Five4Five fest and since hearing them on Five4Five, I have to admit, I've developed a lot of love for them! They've got a lot of talent, and their songs are absolute tunes! So the first track was released in April and it was "Do You Know?" and what a tune! Do You Know? is a really catchy tune, it's the sort of song that will be stuck in my head for a while, it's quite an infectious song, it's got a great beat to it and it's just a great song overall, it's a song I could listen to 100 times and not get bored of it, Do You Know? gets a solid 4 out of 5 lemons, absolutely adore the track! Would highly recommend you go and check out Stay Free if you don't know who they are!
Moving onto the second track they've released recently, this one actually only came out just over a week ago (so I'm not completely behind). This track is titled Don't Leave Me Now, and this is my favourite of the two, I got a lot of love for this track, and it's just such a beautiful track, I love the lyrics, the intro is incredible. It's got such a lovely flow to it, and it's just a really enjoyable song. I really am obsessed with it, because what a tune! Cannot recommend it enough, and honeslty, please go show Stay Free some love. They're becoming one of my favourite smaller bands, so please go show them some love and support and go and listen to their new tracks because they're incredible! Don't Leave Me Now gets a solid 5 out of 5 lemons, obsessed with it, it's a great track!

Where To Find Stay Free:

Holygood released a new track on Friday, but they chose not to promote the track due to the current state of the world and that the BLM movement deserved to be prioritised, and I think that was an incredibly responsible thing for them to do! But of course, it's Holygood so I have to tell you my thoughts on the track!

Absolute tune! This song ie one of Holygood's best tracks, and I said that about Animal a couple of weeks ago, but Louder Than Words, is an anthem! I am in love with this track, Tohm's voice on this track is something else! This song is next level! Animal is heavier, but I'm going as far asto say this is Holygood's best single to date. It's such a powerful track, and I am here for it! There isn't one element of this track I dislike, and honestly, I love it so much! Holygood are really out here proving that they are one of the best up and coming bands, and I need you all to stop sleeping on them, and go and listen to this song!

Overall, I have to give Louder Than Words a solid 5 out of 5 again! It's an anthem! go and listen to it please!

Divided By Friday:

It is safe to say that I got really excited when I saw Divided By Friday in my release radar, I thought I was dreaming for a moment, but nope, it's 100% real! We really got new Divided by Friday music! Sadly, it is the last Divided by Friday EP, and they summaries it as a "nod hello and a wave goodbye" which is sad, but they broke up years ago, so we're lucky that we got this EP! It was their way of giving the band a proper goodbye, and it's a beautiful EP! I have loved DBF for well over 6 years now, I saw them live, I still have my ticket that Jose signed on my wall, I still have Modern Memoirs on a CD in my car! So to have one last DBF EP, was a dream come true really. So let's have a little talk about Looking Back, because it's beautiful!

The EP opens with Keep and Leave Behind, and the opening line to this EP is "It's been a while since we spoke", so that hit home because, it's been a while since they broke up, and I got quite emotional over that! Keep and Leave Behind is an incredible track! And it really is a true DBF track, it's a strong song, and I adore it, it's beautiful, and it's got some lovely comforting lyrics to accompany it.

We then transition into What A Waste which love the title, love the song even more. The song gives me strong early DBF vibes like The Constant era vibes! Again, it's got some incredible lyrics! It's such a great song and I do think it's my favourite of the three tracks, it's heavier than the other two tracks on the EP, but honestly, impeccable track!

The last track is Beautiful Pain, which is a lot softer, it's gentle, stripped back, comforting, the definition of beautiful. It's very much a solf DBF song, but that's nothing new for the lads, because they've always had a mix of softer songs and heavier anthems. It's such an emotional song, but it's so comforting. There's just something about it, and since this is the last track on the EP, it's theoretically the last Divided by Friday track, and I think it's the perfect summary to conclude the bands journey.

Overall, I love the EP, and it was everything I could have hoped for. And it was like we finally got closure on the bands breakup. I can't give it less than 5 out of 5 lemons, I really can't, because it's everything I could have hoped for, and getting the EP was more than we could have ever expected! I love it, and if you ever loved Divided by Friday then please go check out the EP, and even if you'd never heard of them, then go and give them a listen and fall in love with them. Support all their future ventures, and appreciate their talent!

Where to Find Looking Back:

Apple Music

In the past two months we've had two new Bloxx songs, and before I saw Twin on tour I'd never listened to them and Bloxx have a lot of talent!
The first of the two tracks was Lie Out Loud, which is an absolute tune! Completely love this track! It's got a lot of energy within it, and it's really upbeat, it again, is an infectious track. It's very much a classic Bloxx song, I love it! The lyrics are great it doesn't sound like a washed up pop song that's just came out of the generic factory. I absolutely love this track! It really is incredible! Bloxx are an amazing band, and they're decent live as well! When the world has some form of normality in it again, and I have the oppoutunity to see Bloxx again, I 100% will!
I'd give this track a 4 out of 5 lemons, it doesn't top Headspace for me! But it's still great!

The second track is Thinking About Yourself. Again, it isn't Headspace, but it's coming up close and I think it's my second favourite Bloxx song. It's very much a f**k you song, and it's 100% a song I would love to be screaming live, because it's that level of greatness that you wouldn't sing it, you'd scream it. This song is honestly a big mood, and I love the lyrics, it really is a classic Bloxx track. Please inject this song into my veins because this song is the biggest mood. This song really does have me missing seeing Bloxx live, I want to be back in a crowd for Bloxx, so if a song can make me miss gigs more than I already do that says something!
Overall, 5 out of 5 lemons, and that will put it as my second favourite Bloxx track, it's the same level as Go Out With You, just below Headspace! Honestly, Bloxx, I love you!

Fatherson in the past two months have released two tracks, they aren't new tracks, they are just the acoustic versions from the upcoming acoustic EP. They two tracks that were done this time were Charm School and Reflection, both two very beautiful songs, both of them sound incredible acoustically. They were beautiful songs, and there isn't much I can really say besides from that I love them, and Ross' voice is beautiful on these tracks as always. Honestly, I adore these tracks! I love this band and Ross Leighton could sing anything and it would sound beautiful. Fatherson are incapable of releasing a bad song, and these two stripped back acoustic tracks really do showcase that. I prefer Reflection to Charm School, but that's always been the case even with the studio versions of the tracks. Reflection is one of my favourite tracks off of Sum Of All Your Parts, and stripped back it's a masterpiece. It is a work of art.

Overall, I'd give Charm School a 4 out of 5 and I'd give Reflection a 4.5 out of 5 lemons!

Headache aka Mike Duce released another song the other week, he also has another one coming out this week, which proves I really am behind on my reviews! But the latest release is titled dunno. I honestly love Headache's sound, it is nothing like Lower Than Atlantis, but that's because it isn't, and I'm not mad about it. I love it. I loved broke, I love dunno and I dare say I'll love the new track. Mike has a lot of talent, and he's got such a nice voice. Headache's sound is very complimentary for Mike's voice, it works so well. It's a perfect match. I adore this track, and if you're intrigued in what Mike Duce is up to these days make sure you check Headache out!

Overall, I'd give the track a 4 out of 5 lemons!

Biffy Clyro:

Again, not that new but I'm playing catchup! So a few weeks ago Biffy released Tiny Indoor Fireworks. This is my favourite of the three tracks released from A Celebration of Endings, and it's such a strong song! It's very much classic Biffy, and the more they release from the upcoming album, the more I love Biffy. It's a song I'd love to hear live, it's a song that an entire arena would sing with them. I love this track, it's such a loud anthem, and it's great. It makes me excited for the new album, and I wasn't expecting to be this excited for a Biffy album, but here we are, the tracks they've released from the album so far have been great! Tiny Indoor Fireworks, is a very catchy tune and I dare say it's probably going to be stuck in my head for weeks!

Overall, I'll give it 5 out of 5 lemons. It's catchy, it's fast, it's just a great song.

Stand Atlantic:

Again, not exactly a new track, but a recent track! They released their latest single Wavelength nearly a month ago, and I would like to give this track the spot of being my favourite Stand Atlantic track! The sound is something else, honestly, this would be an increidble track to hear live. I love it, it's loud! It's an anthem. It's powerful, it's got such a great sound about it and I love it a lot! I don't know what else to say about it, besides saying how much I love it. It's incredible. I love the lyrics, I love the song all in all. It's just a great track and Stand Atlantic really are proving that they are one of the best bands in the scene currently.

Overall, I'll give it a solid 5 out of 5 lemons! Cannot fault the track whatsoever! Absolutely love this song, please inject this song into my veins.

What's Left For Us? by All Over Again

Welcome/welcome back to another blog post! Today I'm talking about All Over Again, who are a Nottingham alt-rock band! We all know, that I love alt-rock and I love Notts bands! I'm very enthusiastic about bands from my city, so I was more than happy to do some coverage on this EP when I got an email asking if I'd be willing to do a post about it. So, here we are. All Over Again released an EP yesterday (30th April), and I'm going to be talking about my thoughts on the tracks!  The first track on the EP is, Breathe Me In which was the first track released from the EP. It starts off quite slow, but it builds up, and I love that. Grace has a beautiful voice, and I love that there are tempo changes throughout the song, because at this point, anybody that's read my reviews before, knows that's the one thing that makes me fall in love with a track. I think this is such an incredible track, it's beautiful, I love everything about this track, I think it's incr

Loughborough to Lichfield by Next Year

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're going to be talking about Next Year's latest release Loughborough to Lichfield, which was released last Friday (April 30th). Now, I have worked with Next Year before. I reviewed Long Way Home back when that dropped last year. This is the follow-up single to said release, and because of how much I loved Long Way Home, I was apprehensive about hearing this track, just because I've loved everything they've put out previously, so it's that moment of "Is this going to be as good as, worse or better than the rest of the discography?". However, upon listening to it, it was clear to see that this was living up to expectations.  It has a loud, anthemic intro, it's not overly long, and it managed to keep my attention for the intro, which is essential to me. I need the start and end of any release to grab my attention to leave a decent impression. So, yeah, I was pretty impressed with the intro, it was very classic po
