Single Review: What You Want by Home Wrecked

Home Wrecked have just released their new single What You Want. Spoiler alert: it slaps. Home Wrecked are a relatively new band to me, I only discovered them about 2 months ago, but I honestly love them! One of my favourite things about this track is the progression and depth in the sound. It sounds on the heavier side of pop-punk whilst also sounding very classic pop-punk at the same time. There's just something about it that's unique and that sets them apart from the rest!

It's a very catchy track, and it's a song that's going to be stuck in my head when I stop listening to it. It sounds heavy whilst not actually being that heavy, but I love that. I would compare it to Four Year Strong and Chunk! No Captain Chunk! and in that retrospect, I guess I'm branding it as easycore, but it's so good!

I find it quite refreshing to hear this song in the pop-punk scene when a lot of bands are switching to a more mainstream, poppier sound, which isn't bad, but it's refreshing to hear a band play proper pop-punk/easycore. They're a band that has a lot of potential. I honestly think they could achieve big things. Like they're got a decent amount of following, but I really do think they could achieve big things, like BIG things, it's not hard to listen to the track and see why I believe that. What You Want is just a masterpiece honestly!

It's powerful, it's catchy, it's got a great set of lyrics to it, it's just an overall incredible song and I'm obsessed with it. I cannot recommend this track enough so please go and show it some love!

Overall I'd give it a solid 5 out of 5 lemons because I'm honestly in love with this track. Go check it out!

What's Left For Us? by All Over Again

Welcome/welcome back to another blog post! Today I'm talking about All Over Again, who are a Nottingham alt-rock band! We all know, that I love alt-rock and I love Notts bands! I'm very enthusiastic about bands from my city, so I was more than happy to do some coverage on this EP when I got an email asking if I'd be willing to do a post about it. So, here we are. All Over Again released an EP yesterday (30th April), and I'm going to be talking about my thoughts on the tracks!  The first track on the EP is, Breathe Me In which was the first track released from the EP. It starts off quite slow, but it builds up, and I love that. Grace has a beautiful voice, and I love that there are tempo changes throughout the song, because at this point, anybody that's read my reviews before, knows that's the one thing that makes me fall in love with a track. I think this is such an incredible track, it's beautiful, I love everything about this track, I think it's incr

Again by Surviving December

Welcome/welcome back to the blog, and today I'm going to be talking about a band I've never spoken about before called Surviving December and more specifically their latest single 'Again'. They are said to take inspiration from the old pop-punk/punk-rock classics that were often the founding fathers of the music genre.  From the intro alone, it's got that classic vibe to it. A sound that is familiar, and something that any pop-punk fan will recognise and enjoy. It's engaging to listen to, and I can easily listen to this track on repeat without getting bored. It's a decent track and I have to admit, I'm really impressed with it, more than I ever could have anticipated. I think it's a decent track, and although, I wouldn't say it's one of those fast, catchy songs, it's still a good song and a song doesn't have to be catchy to be good, it's a song that I would find myself having stuck in my head. I like this track a lot, and I think
