10 Songs I Love Currently

These aren't necessarily my most listened to song currently but they are the songs I'm hooked on currently. Some are new, some aren't. Some are by bands I've just got into, some are longer term bands in my life.
  1. Hit By A Car by Scouting For Girls, I love Scouting For Girls and I've been listening to Ten Add Ten a lot recently considering they're my happy band.
  2. Wonder of the World by Scouting For Girls. Again one of the 'add ten' songs from Ten Add Ten, I love it and it's a song that makes me think about some of the good things in life.
  3. Amber Leaf by Distant Blue, I'd be lying if I said that I didn't discover Distant Blue because of The Mocking Jays, but I've gotta say, it's a right tune. Go check it out.
  4. Where I Want To Be by The Dangerous Summer. I saw these guys at Slam Dunk and I thought they were pretty good at Slam Dunk, and I don't know what their setlist was because I hadn't listened to them before, but I do really like Where I Want To Be.
  5. The Permanent Rain by The Dangerous Summer. Again, the same with this song. It's been a real big comfort to my mental state currently.
  6. Mine Is Gold by State Champs. I'm sorry but who doesn't love a bit of State Champs? And honestly, this song is a solid 10/10. I don't know why I love it so much but it's State Champs, do I really need a reason?
  7. Take You Home by The Mocking Jays. If you know me, you know I love the mocks. If you know me, then you know that I rank Jacob in my top 3 frontmen along with Sam (McTrusty) and James (Veck-Gilodi).
  8. Piece Of Your Heart by Mayday Parade. Mayday are one of my favourite bands, and they're dropping a new album on Friday (can assure you that I will love it). But this song is a very typical Mayday Parade song.
  9. Sex On The Beach by The Mocking Jays. Come on, it's me. Don't expect anything less.
  10. It's Hard To Be Religious When Certain People Are Never Incinerated By Bolts Of Lightning by Mayday Parade. This is the latest song they've dropped from Sunnyland and it's one of them songs that you have to love. I love it because it's Mayday, I love it because of its long title. I just love it.  Lyrically it's amazing "Everyone knows what a selfish prick you've become". TUNE!

What's Left For Us? by All Over Again

Welcome/welcome back to another blog post! Today I'm talking about All Over Again, who are a Nottingham alt-rock band! We all know, that I love alt-rock and I love Notts bands! I'm very enthusiastic about bands from my city, so I was more than happy to do some coverage on this EP when I got an email asking if I'd be willing to do a post about it. So, here we are. All Over Again released an EP yesterday (30th April), and I'm going to be talking about my thoughts on the tracks!  The first track on the EP is, Breathe Me In which was the first track released from the EP. It starts off quite slow, but it builds up, and I love that. Grace has a beautiful voice, and I love that there are tempo changes throughout the song, because at this point, anybody that's read my reviews before, knows that's the one thing that makes me fall in love with a track. I think this is such an incredible track, it's beautiful, I love everything about this track, I think it's incr

Loughborough to Lichfield by Next Year

Welcome/welcome back to the blog! Today we're going to be talking about Next Year's latest release Loughborough to Lichfield, which was released last Friday (April 30th). Now, I have worked with Next Year before. I reviewed Long Way Home back when that dropped last year. This is the follow-up single to said release, and because of how much I loved Long Way Home, I was apprehensive about hearing this track, just because I've loved everything they've put out previously, so it's that moment of "Is this going to be as good as, worse or better than the rest of the discography?". However, upon listening to it, it was clear to see that this was living up to expectations.  It has a loud, anthemic intro, it's not overly long, and it managed to keep my attention for the intro, which is essential to me. I need the start and end of any release to grab my attention to leave a decent impression. So, yeah, I was pretty impressed with the intro, it was very classic po
